We are excited to kick off our first annual Ubuntu Holiday Initiative on December 18th and 19th in partnership with our new home and kitchen space: Le Dolci (12 Sousa Mendes St).
It will be an opportunity to bring all our Ubuntu friends and family together for two days of giving back at a time of year when many could use a smile and some extra lovin’.
Our efforts will be in support of four organizations across the city:
Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto
We’ve been working with these organizations over the past several months to help them put together ‘wish lists’ for the people they serve, and our Ubuntu Family is confident that we can pull together as a community, roll up our sleeves, and make these wishes come true.
Our 2-Day initiative will be broken into 4 groups that you can register to be a part of:
1. Holiday Cookies
2. Care Kits
3. Hot Meals
4. Special Gifts
Sign up to be a part of a team based on your availability.
*You can sign up for a team even if you can’t stay for the entire time slot.
**You can sign up for one or more teams if you plan on floating and helping in several areas.
While we’ve been saving donated funds throughout the year for this initiative, the needs of our organizations do outweigh our capacity. If donating to this initiative is within your means, your support will be appreciated and felt by many. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact and helps us to make these wishes come true.
